New Release of Predixion's Predictive Analytics Solution
Builds on SQL Server 2012 and PowerPivot 2012
Predixion Insight 2.2 provides easy-to-deploy enterprise class predictive analytics utilizing Microsoft Excel and SharePoint
San Juan Capistrano, CA – March 6, 2012 – Predixion Software introduced today Predixion Insight™ 2.2, a new release of the company's flagship collaborative predictive analytics solution that fully supports Microsoft Corp.’s just announced SQL Server 2012 and PowerPivot 2012. Predixion Insight 2.2 provides business intelligence (BI) professionals with easy-to-deploy, enterprise class predictive analytics in the familiar interfaces of Microsoft Excel 2010 and SharePoint 2007 and 2010.
Predixion has created Excel-based modeling solutions and a deployment framework designed to simplify the process of sharing models across an enterprise, automate predictions directly from source data to SharePoint dashboards and other portals or business applications, and squeeze complexity out of the end user experience, resulting in self-service predictive analytics.
The end-to-end collaborative features in Predixion Insight 2.2 allow users to share models, datasets and results, as well as set permissions for shared items by simply sending them to other users or setting up “collections” to which multiple users subscribe. Users can then comment on items within the collection, score models with new or existing data, share the results within the collection or publish them into SharePoint or other portals for a truly collaborative experience. Predixion Insight 2.2 is available as an off-site public and private cloud offering, as well as an on-premise solution for organizations such as healthcare and financial services firms who require it.
“The combination of Microsoft’s integrated BI platform and Predixion’s advanced analytics solution represents a cost effective and seamless way for Microsoft customers to create accurate predictions about their business environment by analyzing large amounts of data. These predictive analytics use the widely adopted and familiar environments of Excel and SharePoint to drive better-informed decision making,” said Claudia Imhoff, president of Intelligent Solutions, Inc., a leading authority on BI and data warehousing. “Microsoft customers have a compelling solution for business analysts and sophisticated information workers who need these predictive capabilities.”
“At Microsoft, we’re incredibly excited about Predixion’s release of Insight 2.2, which builds on SQL Server 2012 and its BI functionality. Business Intelligence and predictive analytics are becoming increasingly important to businesses all across the world. This is especially true in healthcare due to the shift in reimbursement models from fee-for-service to pay-for-performance,” said Steve Aylward, Microsoft General Manager, Enterprise Health & Life Sciences. “It is vitally important for healthcare organizations to quickly, efficiently, and simply identify their risks so that they can manage that risk more effectively. Built on SQL Server 2012, Predixion Insight 2.2 offers an affordable and powerful way to do so–working seamlessly with the entire Microsoft software platform,” Aylward said.
“We have gone to great lengths to natively align our predictive analytics solution with the Microsoft BI platform, and are pleased to announce our close relationship with SQL Server 2012 and PowerPivot 2012,” said Predixion co-founder and CEO Simon Arkell. “Predixion is focused on delivering advanced, easy-to-use predictive analytics solutions that turn business analysts into predictive analysts. Using Microsoft’s industry leading BI platform is key to meeting that objective. Our mission is to remove the barriers to predictive analytics by reducing the complexity and high cost typically associated with enterprise deployments,” Arkell said.
